"Sold" By Charles Lutz
I attended a great little exhibition/party at the Tribeca Grande last night for new series by artist, Charles Lutz entitled, “Sold”. The party was sponsored by Surface Magazine and Svedka (free cocktails with election inspired names were flowing).
The paintings worked perfectly with the earth tone pallet of the hotel’s interior and it was refreshing to view art in a unique...
Design in Troy NY?
I grew up in Schenectady NY (on the outskirts of Albany) in the middle of the 3 shriveling industrial cities (Albany, Schenectady, Troy). More recently New York’s Capital region has been working towards reinvigorating their rich history of arts and culture in the area . I Love Ice Cream
Ice Cream by Phiadon is a document of artists on the brink of becoming international sensations (apparently the book is fourth in a series). Patterns On Patterns
GSquared posted this a few weeks ago and I had to re-pot it because it is amazing work. Steven Miesel shot these as a spread that will be featured in the new issue of Italian Vogue.
Apirat Infahsaeng
When I came across this 40th Anervirsery typographic illustration in the October 6th issue of NY Mag I went strait to google to find out who the designer was. It turns out I am even more of a fan of Apirat Infasaeng than I knew. I had recently posted about my love for a costum typeface in an earlier issue NY Mag this year on Reactions (my former studio’s blog). It turns out that was also a...
