Kühl Colors
Maybe I’m into this because it was so damn hot yesterday, but I came across an ad for Friedrich’s Kühl window air conditioner units that are available in a variety of colors and I thought, yes duh, in a world of rainbow colored ipods, laptops, washing machines, cuisinart mixers, etc, why not help that ugly unit fit a bit better in your surroundings? Granted these things are still ugly...

Tourists Now Have Their Own Sidewalk Lane
This was posted on Gothamist a few days ago, but I just came across is in NY Mag’s Approval Matrix today. Apparently last week at 22nd Street and Fifth Avenue someone painted a line to separate the true New Yorkers from the Tourists. Not a bad idea but the Gothamist goes on to also include people who text and walk as part of the sidewalk annoyances. Guilty as charged.. but at least a keep up...

Beans and Rice, Together Forever
Check out this awesome illustration on a card my friend Karin found for her husband. Love it! Especially because they are happily married vegetarians and every veggie knows that beans and rice are a staple of vegetarian bliss!

Everyone Needs a Hero
There has been a bunch of superhero art projects going around lately and now that I’m in nerd training (thanks to Jeff), I’m digging it. Check out these superhero watercolors by Anthony Lister. I’m especially into the Wolverine one because I am in the process of catching up on nerd’ness by watching X-Men movies. If you want to see more cool super hero stuff check out these...

Vio
I bought a bottle of Vio the other week purely because I liked the packaging (they are little aluminum bottles) and graphics. I was also curious what a boost of vibrancy would taste like. I can’t say I am actually a fan of the drink, but I still love everything about the look!

‘Schitbag’ Possibly Worst Name for Purse Ever
Apparently a press release about the Schitbag — a fanny pack with a shoulder strap — went around this week stating “‘Schitbag’ is the new status purse” Apparently also it is supposed to be pronounced, skit-bag… yeah right, not when it’s a fanny pack! [via NY Mag, The Cut]

Shu Uemura
My studio recently received some product samples from of Shu Uemura’s Art of Hair collection. The packaging and imagery are just beautiful. This is no cheap haircare system but it’s sure sexy enough to make you wan t to buy it anyway.

Miller High Life Gets Packaging Redesign
If you know me at all, you know I love High Life (especially out of those classy 40oz bottles) so of course I am excited to see this beautiful packaging upgrade. It’s prefect they kept all the good stuff and got rid of the crap! Now let’s just hope they don’t raise the price. Read more about the redesign here.

Up There
There is a building with painted advertisements that I walk towards everyday when I leave work and a smaller one by my gym in Williamsburg — I always watch these painted ads go up and down and wonder if it is hard to put so much time into creating something that you will have to paint over in a few weeks to make something new again. This short documentary “Up There” chronicles the dying craft of...

What The Fuck Should I Make For Dinner?
I don’t usually use recipes (because I cook like a bachelor) but I could really get into this this site.

New AIGA Member Cards!
Cheers to the AIGA for issuing a fun new suite of member cards! It’s about time — I knew we could do better than that old sparkly gray… The cards could still be way cooler BUT I love the new stripey expiration sticker system that allows us to be less wasteful. The only thing I don’t like is my cyan card… it is a bit too dark but really I just would have loved to get a...
