I love when people manage to create really interesting visuals by simple means. I have recently encountered 2 great examples of this that involve projecting light.

Below is a shot of the performance space at the Lovin’ Cup in Williamsburg. Above the stage there is this amazing display which, at first glance looks like crazy fiber-optics but is really just hanging strings from a large piece of white canvas that cascading colored stripes are projected onto.

Second is this new Phoenix video off their new album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. The video is simple in concept and beautifully uses protected white lights to enhance the band while playing (obviously there is some effects added in post production as well).
