Photo-Lettering for a New Generation
The Photo-Lettering library is a collection of film-based display type that was widely used from 1936 until the rise of desktop publishing. In 2003, House Industries purchased Photo-Lettering’s entire assets. House is digitizing the collection and is about to launch PhotoLettering.com — a web service that will allow designers to access the same hand-designed type used in the days before Illustrator and Photoshop but with a lot of new customizing features built into the web interface.
