DUMBO Art Fest / One9

I went to the DUMBO Arts Under The Bridge festival yesterday and I have to say, I was mostly underwhelmed but there were a few highlights:

1. I finally got to see MSLK’s eco-installation, Watershed (and catch up with Sheri and Marc)

2. The DAC had a really great installation called, The Experience of Green which simulated walking through the RedWood forest made of red kraft paper. The texture and organic forms created by the layered paper was fantastic, unfortunately though, there are no good images to post and there was no photography allowed

3. I got to explore this giant old industrial building on Plymouth Street full of stairways and mysterious doors and some great open studios. We wandered into one9’s studio and I really liked the work.
