Maybe I’m into this because it was so damn hot yesterday, but I came across an ad for Friedrich’s Kühl window air conditioner units that are available in a variety of colors and I thought, yes duh, in a world of rainbow colored ipods, laptops, washing machines, cuisinart mixers, etc, why not help that ugly unit fit a bit better in your surroundings? Granted these things are still ugly (and could be designed to be even nicer) I still think it is noteworthy that they created an air conditioner that can entice you with something more than frosty cold air.
