The 2008 Feltron Annual Report

If you don’t know designer, Nicholas Feltron’s Annual Reports, you should. For the past few years he has been producing an annual report that analyzes his habits, consumption, comings and goings, etc of each year. Nicholas’s specialty is creating great graphics that give weight to abstract and trivial matters. A playful wink to designers who have spent their careers developing visuals to transform a corporations numbers into an engaging visual story. His reports are also a wet dream for all you info graphic nerds (myself included). Check out all his reports 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005. I especially love the colors and graphics of his 2007 report, although 2005 is pretty great too.

Feltron’s reports also reminded me of a great radio episode of This American Life that was recently re-aired called Numbers — which is all about “people trying to use numbers to describe things that should not be quantified”. Have a listen, it’s good!
